Jerin Mathew George is an accomplished Offshore Structural Engineer with over four years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree from the University of Western Australia in Ocean Engineering, with a focus on the structural rehabilitation of corroded offshore members using composite materials. Jerin is also a Composite Expert, with an in-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of the industry and familiarity with recent trends. Jerin has extensive experience with the collapse analysis of fixed jacket platforms and is proficient in the use of SACS, USFOS, ANSYS, ABAQUS, and many other structural analysis and design software. He has previously worked as a Project Engineer at icr.ias joint venture, where he planned and organized activities of offshore repair and maintenance teams, analyzed inspection reports on corrosion and other defects to create useful data, drove the development of ISO repair design and repair execution drawings, and executed R&D work. Jerin has also worked as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Western Australia, where he conducted research on the rehabilitation of aged platforms using composite materials, executed documentation and post-processing of experimental data, developed a Finite Element (FE) model predicting the behavior of CFRP retrofitting on steel structures, and prepared research proposals, progress reports, and annual reports. Jerin holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, a Master of Science (MS) in Civil Engineering (Offshore Structures) from Universiti Teknologi Petronas, and is expected to complete his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Ocean Engineering from the University of Western Australia in 2022. Jerin's technical expertise is further demonstrated by his proficiency in the use of various software and his status as a Research Scientist. With his extensive experience and technical knowledge, Jerin is a valuable asset to any team in the Oil and Gas industry.
